Pyne Poynt Park Rehabilitation and Enhancement
CFP is working with the City of Camden and Camden County to coordinate the design, permitting, and bidding for the complete rehabilitation of Pyne Poynt Park in North Camden. The total rehabilitation of this 13-acre park located along Erie Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets was a high priority project identified in the neighborhood plan. Working with the City and County, CFP has hosted several community meetings with residents and stakeholders to review the design plans for both the roadway and park improvements. Construction is now fully funded, as CFP has secured $1.45 million from the NJDEP Green Acres Program on behalf of the City of Camden and Camden County and $2.5 million from the Camden County Open Space Trust Fund. Most recently, CFP integrated a restroom/concession stand facility into the park plans after requests from the North Camden community. Working with Camden City and Camden County, CFP is moving forward with construction, which is expected to be complete in November 2013.
